I have spent my life creating. I was blessed with my father’s resourcefulness and my Grandmothers hoarding tendencies that have enabled and encouraged me to work and create with my hands; using what we now call "found art.” When I first began creating, it was called "the family wrecking yard!” This was a magical place complete with acres of cars, lumber, metal and auction finds! I saw beauty in rust when everyone else was painting over it!

terry Brush Class Project
Thought I'd share with you a project I recently completed at Melrose Vintage in Phoenix. If you haven't been to this shop it's a must see! wonderful stuff, great scrapbook area and fun classes. This was a day long class with some great talented ladies . Lots of creating, eating, shopping all those good things we all love. Every one's projects were all very different.
I chose mine around the three women who have influenced my life the most and still miss daily.
My mother just passed this June and was so very close to my daughter Kymberli is seems appropriate it be a birthday gift for her.
Needless to say a good cry was had my all when she opened it!

Recycle New Studio $5.00 chair
So I know I should have taken a "before" picture but when the 5year old says that chair is gross ! And it's so very 60's ORANGE ! not to mention of questionable cleanliness you tend to move rather quickly on the redo portion of the project. I stripped off the old fabric and what was left of the foam cushioning. Then after a liberal spray of antibacterial I was ready to recover. I used various left over strips from my purse creations adding some of the left over trims from my last submission to Stampington. I sewed these strips on my serger for extra strenght. Give it some new high density foam for extra comfort on the ole bum. Used my handy heavy duty stapler to recover.Yes it's wicked crazy but I love it and it makes me smile when I walk into my studio. ENJOY !!!

Metal Art Doll with Stephanie Rubino
Thought you might like to see the crazy Art Doll class several of us took with Stephanie Rubino awhile back. It was so nice to have her fly out and give us a private class. I of course had to "pump" mine up a bit so she much larger than most of the others and I then decided she needed to be functional as well so she now sports alot of my often worn jewlery. This was a two class two day get togather and the butterfly boxes all turned out fabulous. Some of us were able to use old family pictures, you might think this looks somewhat familer, yes it's your truly !If you ever get an opportunity to take a class with her don't miss it!

Please Welcome Greta !!!
I'm so tickled I'm published and believe it for not this was my first submitted item!
I am so very honored to be included in the 3rd edition of Apron ology.
So very much talent and little ole me! How very humbling. I have been an admirer of Stampington publications for sometime, devouring every copy of each publication over and over, finding something new each time I thumbed through. BUT WOW let's celebrate!!!!

Fairy Teacup Tassel
So I must give credit where credit is due:
I had seen where Beth Quinn was doing a class on a teacup fairy, well I wasn't able to take it and I needed a tassel for my very Big,Bland,Black armoire in my studio. Sooo meet Mable !
Her crown is a salt shaker top, her dress is a scrap of lace, her body is a left over teacup from my Precious Granddaughter Ellie's Teacup Chandelier Grammy Sandy made for her sometime ago.
She hangs from a vintage crucifix chain and I so enjoy seeing how she graces the front of that Big Black door.
